Silkie thread!

This is what I said, thinking I was talking to OUR group...When I ventured away from our group to search for something, I can't believe how rude some people are. I was looking at one topic about food brands to help my chickens gain weight- someone had ask if they could supplement with calf manna, and listed the ingredients and what they do. Some poor soul said "I should take that for myself!' The next person said "Please don't post if you can't contribute to the subject". WOW.

Wow, did you "flag" the post? I would have.

I think I've tried all the things on here- high protein, low carb; high carb, low protein, oatmeal (mine don't like it). I feed them Game Bird grower with a little scratch, oystershell on the side (and grit). They still feel bony to me. My large fowl eat the same thing, they are fine. I wish I knew someone with a silkie, so I could hold it and see. I had two silkies a long time ago- don't remember them feeling skinny. Also, the girls' crest seem smaller to me. No molting, male not pulling it out. I'm wondering if I should get a more expensive food from TSC and mix it in. Like Showbird or something. Would love to get my cockerel in show condition, but will be happy to have some meat on everyone's bones! Oh- they were wormed with Ivermectin spot on about a month and a half ago. I need to feed them what I eat, I have no problem with being too thin!

A day off, but better late than never. Until they hatch, here's some more cuteness that was born on our farm today to appease you guys. Sorry, it's not a silkie, but I think you guys will love her. Meet Valentine

Nah- it was from 2009 :) Didn't know what flagging does. I've seen ruder post; but couldn't think of one to use as an example. Every group has some meanies. Even when I showed model horses! Catty people in that circle, as well. Dog and horse breed groups have some very mean ones. All of these groups have more nice than rude. Just a couple of bad eggs (no pun intended).
