Talk about FAST shipping! My incubator just showed up today

I aready pulled it out of the box and plugged it in.. Doing a test run today/night. Should be a go for eggs next week! So fun!

Do you want/need fertile eggs for a test run? I can bring you everything I collect today, should be 4-6 eggs. They would be mixes. I could take all the chicks that hatch back if you don't want them.

Hey! I posted this in the appropriate thread- hatching, etc, but I'm anxious for an answer - I'm on pins and needles for what might be my first hatch :) Here's the question: Hi- Forgive me if this has been answered a million times, or is on an egg chart that I haven't seen- I've been looking before I put the question on here :). This is my second time trying to incubate eggs. First time was a disaster, no eggs hatched. This time,I'm candling. I have 10 viable eggs (shipped eggs). 2, I have questions about. They are on day 17. I looked at them today, before I put them on lock down tomorrow. 1 has air cells on both ends of the egg. I can still see veins, but only the middle of the egg has mass. Another eggs is full of chick, but the air cell is at the wrong end (the narrow part of the egg). Are those eggs ok? The will be laid sideways during lockdown (Hovabator LG)

Did you allow the eggs to settle before you set them? You may have to keep an eye on the two questionable eggs and be prepared to help them (or expect them not to hatch). You never know though, they could hatch on their own!

I let them settle a day. Also waited another day before I turned on the egg turner. It seemed that the one with the 2 air pockets was doing well. Maybe I candled it too much, but it was my fave.
