Silkie thread!

emergency question, i was baby sitting some kids for my friend and they wanted to paint their nails, so i gave them some polish and they were playing with it. i was in the bathroom when i heard a "oh no!" apperently, they were trying to paint my new born chick's nails and it ate a couple of drops right from the bottle! it has it all over its eye feathers, and it's whole inside mouth is pink. will it die? i didnt want to get mad at the kids, but inside i was raging! they should have asked me first....kids... anyway, i hope it will survive...do you think it will make it? how do i help it?

Well... it's done... I brought Nori to my friend's house today so she could take away her suffering... RIP Nori

So very sorry! Losing an animal is so hard. At least you know she is out of pain and in chicken heaven :)

I almost lost my Ziggy today (Polish, not Silkie, sorry)- one of my personal pets! She and her best friend (Phoenix hen) like to perch on some window glass panes in the shed that they are in until their new building is ready. They've been perching there forever. This morning, I found Ziggy stuck between two glass panes, smashed :(. Everything was limp except her head. I brought her in the house to take care of her. 4 hrs later, she can stand and shuffle around. This pic wasn't taken today.
Thank goodness you found her in time! Hope she makes a full recovery.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, they are very helpful. At least I still have Icelynn, now I guess she will be even MORE of a spoiled brat since she is the only chicken! At least unless this egg hatches, today at 10pm is hatch time! So probably tomorrow if it is still alive. I really hope so, I don't want to lose two in one week

I would call if it has a number on the back, or call a vet to ask. If you have another pet who has a homeagain microchip you can call poison control free of charge

Good morning... is it safe to assume that this is a silkie?? Some of the 11 I got, do have more feathering on the feet... it was a free run bantam chick choice.... also, someone told me that bantams are mean... is that true? Someone else said they were not mean, lol...
