So has anyone heard their birds make this noise? This is Ice, she makes this noise a lot. It's VERY annoying! does it mean something in particular?

Yep, all my hens do it all the time. It don't really think it means anything. Mine usually make it when they're content or bored. I call it singing lol
It's obnoxious! Nori never did that, only Ice. She does it a lot when she seems angry...

Mine do it when they are bored when I'm trying to break them from being broody in the wire cages. It IS annoying. I have a roo who does it too...

Yup, my blue hen is the biggest whiner. lol Does that quite often. One of my pullets is starting to do this also. They all complain every once in awhile...except for the roosters. I don't think I've heard them do this yet.

Try wrapping it with a band-aid. Make sure the toes aren't curled, they need to be straight, evenly spaced, and in their natural position.
