Totally worth it! These are two of my birds I hatched from Karen's eggs. My black pullet and splash cockerel, they were probably about 7-8 months old in those pictures. You should see the crest on this black one now!

Beautiful! I would LOVE a splash like that (but you know, female, since I can't keep roos)!

I wish you could sex silkies as wee ones, life would be so much easier! I would have a (small) army of splash girls!

Anyone know how many eggs a silkie can sit on? I gave my friend 10 eggs to put in her incubator, but now that my 2 girls are sitting on eggs, I wonder if I could give them to her. Plus she's hatching out 3 of my chicks, which one arrived today! yeah! I wondered if I could give the 10 eggs to one silkie and have the other silkie take care of the newly hatched chicks.

If I did this, there would be 14 eggs. Half of which I think aren't fertile at all.

I love my roosters. I'm hoping to get a blue one out of the chicks that just hatched so I can work on BBS.

I only got one splash chick. I'm keeping all my fingers, toes and other body parts crossed for a hen!

That looks like a self-blue cream(porcelain) not a buff

Yay =D I'm going to be sending my boss a list of dates I will not be working because of shows haha! I have a list! Including connecticut and rhode island so maybe I will see you sometime this year!
