Do you know what the cross is to get that coloring? Its really pretty.
I have a Sizzle x Silkie that looks as if it might have smooth feathers - and the proper Partridge markings. Will be interesting to see how close the Partridge Silkies actually look to Partridge patterning on other birds.

At the moment, the silver girl's pattern looks like lacing, not penciling. But she is young enough that I would not call her plumage adult, and exactly what the pattern will be in her adult plumage is the real question. Penciling is sometimes called multiple lacing. Poultry Genetics for Exhibition Breeders shows the following photos of penciling, lacing and double lacing.
