Silkie thread!

Thanks, and I just got her banded for our fall show.

What happened to her?

I have a silkie that I thought was a blue but is having some brown show up around the top of his head. What color is this?

could be blue partridge or leakage

We just got our first silkie my son picked her (I think) out love the head feathers

Looks like a young pullet to me =) Not much of a comb.

I just got my silkie chicks in the mail from murray mcmurray! I'm so excited I posted on this thread asking about them earlier and after doing more research I went ahead and bought some!

Cute pic, but from what I can see looks like a Roo.

Oh no well I guess it's ok we keep the banty's/silkie separate for the big guys and as far as I know he's (if your correct) would be the only roo in the group! I was kinda wondering because he/she just moved in the coop and is already showing dominance

I am looking for information about straight combs in Silkies. I have a gray that turned out to be a rooster but now I can't even use him because he has a straight comb. Do I sell him as a Silkie cross or as a pure Silkie with a defect? He is also getting red coloring to his white feathers. I bought him with another gray Silkie, also a rooster, but the other gray has a walnut comb and no red coloring so I should be able to use him (not sure what color he will produce with my BBS hens). Here is a picture of the comb:
