I'm hoping and hoping that the eggs fertile. Its been 3 days. Well almost ... Its,been 69 hours lol... I don't know if my too is doing his job. I'd be devastated if he wasn't as he is the sweetest rooster I've had and glad I rescues him.

its day 3 and all I see is yolk. Omg I flippin out. I've had him for a while and I let her lay about 4 eggs and this is the fifth egg in Bator.

I only want one more as I know everyone hates chicks raised alone but in home all day long everyday and have he time for it. My hen whose with my too I raised alone too.

Thanks for all the bathing tips! Good to know! My girls are pretty clean usually but I have wanted to wash their fuzzy lil legs and feet. I have one thats black and sooo beautiful! Ive been told she is show quality... how do you go about finding info on where to actually show chickens. I have a 5yr old daughter that is very proud of her silkie. I think she would enjoy showing her off.

UGH. guys, I don't know what to do! one of my silkies that hatched end of june, is acting all funny. twisting her head all around and my rooster keeps attacking it. the four from that hatch are huddled up in the corner of the run all the time, I thought they were just keeping warm, but it appears that they are being harassed by him? he keeps charging them. and now this blue one keeps twisting its head. do you think the rooster gave it brain damage?? what could be wrong??

Aww poor girl, can you separate the Roo out for awhile, looks like he wants to start breeding and their to young. :(

exactly what I think is going on too. he does hope on them and do his thing at times with them. my hen has chicks, so he isn't breeding with her now. and my other hen has a bad leg, she really needs to be put down :( so he really had nobody to do it with!!!!! I could put him in with my LF group, but I've seen them try and fight through the fence! he is a feisty guy!
