Question with chicks: Can you take them out of the incubator once they hatch and put them in the brooder right away?

You should really wait until all teh eggs have hatched that are going to hatch or you could harm the ones who haven't yet. I like to leave them in at least until dry, they can go up to 3 days after they hatch on just the yolk.

After I gave one of my chickens a bath today, my cat decided to try and play a game with the chicken. But the chicken really wanted no part of it. So funny! Used blueing for the first time and he came out so white and pretty-worked really well!

Haha that's so cute =D My cats are good with my chickens too. My babies are all in an open brooder in the basement with my cats and they don't bother them at all. Even the day olds =)

I just bought a cuckoo silkie. It has red eyes with black pupils in the middle. Is this normal? Thanks cuz I find It kind of creepy...

Haha wow! I don't think so but I know cuckoo's are still a work in progress and do tend to have a lot of red but I thought it was just in their waddles. Do you have a picture?
