Silkie thread!

One more question, I have a sweet splash hen that
I bought a cpl months ago and her eyes had some bubbles in them, but she wasn't really bad and wasn't spreading it to the others I bought with her. But it has progressively gotten worse, and when I checked her eyes there was white little chunks and lots of puss. Even the antibiotics I gave her in the water wasn't helping. Took her to the vet and he gave her a shot and eye drops. But he didn't know what it was so I'm wondering if anyone has seen this or knows what it is? Thank u!

Yesterday and last night my momma hatched out 2 white silkie chicks, one black silkie, and one mille de fleur/silkie mix. 3 more eggs are left and I'm hoping I get at least one more. I'm so happy. :)

I would be worried about respiratory disease with those symptoms, keep here separate and post in the emergency section.

I would like yours opinions on sex for these two please. Their brother that had been crowing for a couple weeks has already went to a new home. No one else has crowed so I'm hoping that's a good sign but I know some can start latter. They are almost four months old. I'm really hoping for girls cause I would like to keep these two.

Well nuts…my silkies have started laying….in the corner of the coop. I found one in the nest box of choice one day last week and none since. I thought perhaps her system was just getting started. Coop cleaning day today and what do my wondering eyes should appear 4 silkie eggs laid in a corner under the roost poles…yuk.

So mad!!! My silkie hen hatched out four chicks over the last 24 hours and there was one more that was starting to crack the egg but she was too busy with the chicks so she abandoned it and it got cold and the chick died. All of the eggs were fertilized and had some sort of growth in it but she didn't take care of some of them. But overall I'm still happy with the four silkies chicks I got. Here they are. First picture is are the mille/silkie cross with the black dots on there head and the second pic are the silkies, 1 black and 1 white.
