Silkie thread!

Who did you get yours from?  We need pictures! :pop

Mine were easy to sex. The roosters combs are real obvious. I don't know though. The one that has no comb and is my dark blue "pullet" sure acts like a rooster! I could be in for a surprise
I got them from a breeder in my area who got them from a breeder in Lincoln who had really nice quality

I have heard (a friend of mine's friend has bought many Silkie chicks from her) that her birds are really nice. I am thinking about getting some buffs from her since I didn't get any to hatch in my Catdance order.

Okay the Silkie I was given this week.

I'm not sure on color. I thought a very light Splash. I saw the lady who gave her to me and talked to her about it. She got them in September as chicks and doesn't know the parentage. Could she be a paint? What do you breed to get a paint. If she is what will I get if I breed her to my Blue roo. She offered me a splash roo, but I already have 4 blue.

Bumping this.

Thank-you

She came from Catdance's porcelain pen. She is such a sweetie. Hopefully her and the boy to her right will make some pretty babies

In the top pic I Really like my Silver Partridge.

In the bottom pic, I thought the Showgirl in the center was Grey. But lately Jewel lookd like a light Blue. What do you think?

We were recently given two Silkies and told they were both hens. I believe the bigger one is, but not so sure about the smaller one. Can anyone help me out and also give an approximate age? I'm very new to chickens in general, so any silkie tips/knowledge you may have would be great!
Bigger girl, Lucy.
