On to chickens... sold the last of my "for sale" chicks today - so the brooder is empty and ready for the lavender silkies and white silkies that are in the incubator! So excited to get lavender chicks at last!

Bipolar here in Arkansas lithium is a life saver but all joking aside I love all the silkie chicks on here mine are getting so Big well not com paired to my other chicks now for my question how old are your silkies before you let them out in yard my friends are starting to think my 2 7 week old slikies and 3 5 WK old silkies are house birds

While I'm on this topic.. can we talk about split wing. I've looked on Google n everywhere n on her wings all the feathers r there ..in my novice eye anyway .. then again sometimes I question if there's a split wing. Is it possible that she's just filled out so to say yet to tell for sure ..she's 4 months in pic..5 months now.. from underside of wing no space at all..from top it looks like maybe 1 feather should b there but it is there in the space if smooth them out n look for it..help... I guess if all else fails he will know for sure sat
