Silkie thread!

They are 3 months old so i use simple room without fan is used as a bedding
So like shavings? Just make sure you don't use Cedar shavings. It could be causing him to sneeze. I would give him some electrolytes. He may just be weak. The sneezing could come from the beedding. Anything to dusty isn't good. I use doggy pee pads that have the little grips so they don't slip. So it also won't cause splay leg.

Can you please post pics of your brooder and the chick?

Here is the pic but now she cant stand :(

Pedialite and vital are both forms of electrolyte ?? Why would you give both. Some scrambled egg 2-3 drops of polyvisol and a vitamin E capsule would be my advice.
I have my heat lamp on a chain. It starts down low with the thermometer probe in with the chicks desired temp 90-95 , raising it up each week to allow the chicks to feather in.

I have attached a link for you to read. Hope this helps.
Awesome, thanks! I didnt know 1 week old chicks could have scrambled eggs? They are soo tiny it would have to be ground up pretty good lol. I guess I gave the two lethergic chicks the extra electrolites because thats what it called in the recipe but since I started putting Vit-al in their water to, i could just mix the poly-vi-sol and vit E together and give those in a couple drops to the weaker ones. Should I continue to add the selenium to it also? I'll get a lower watt bulb today also and see if that helps. It was kinda chilly lastnight and even with my high watt raised high, i was worrying all night that they were not warm enough lol when im sure they were fine if you guys are saying my bulb is way to warm. I never thought of this but if they are too warm, would that mean that they would not be growing feathers as fast as they should? I dont know if my chicks look how they should at a week old or not Some have more feather growth on their wings then others and some are noticably growing larger bodies then the others. The smallest one is the lil blue one that doesent want to walk around. Im happy to see him still eating/drinking this morning but he's still down alot and only walks to get to where he wants then lays back down.

Oh, and don't worry about your daughter handling them. I took my 8 hatchling out and carried them around in my sweater and sat down, when I stood up, I saw that three had fell down to the floor. Baby chick's are pretty tough

they sometimes have to fall out of a nest to go foraging with mom as little as 12 hours after hatch. No worries there! They are still really bendy at that point in their lives.

I also half-stepped on a two week old easter eager check when she got under foot while I was stepping over a cushion. She's just fine and we snuggle and nap on the couch together almost every evening

Thats so cute lol
