Silkie thread!

My Wife told me yesterday that she heard four of our five Silkies crow and I said that can't be.
Well, I just let them out this morning and observed. It's official, apparently out of a batch of five straight run Silkies, we ended up with 4 roos.

Now I have three roosters to re-home and so far no takers on Craigslist even for free.
Why can't my odds be like that for the lottery?
oh no!!!! I'd buy a lottery ticket this week for sure with that luck! Make sure to post on here in the classified section too!

Hi everyone! Earlier in this thread I posted some pics of Lexi my partridge Silkie and now I wanted to post some pics of her with her new friends. Well their kinda old friends she dosn't remember. (A friend and me ordered together and I ordered one Silkie and my friend ordered 5 Silkies, but one didn't survive shipping) Anyway they were shipped together and now I'm chick sitting my friends Silkies and thought I'd take some pics and ask a few questions.
So we'll start with Lexi and go down.

Why is Lexi fluffier, but doesn't have as big a crest as the others? I'm hoping Lexi is a girl.

This one is a black Silkie and I think it's the only one with a beard. I think this one is a girl too.

This is one of the white Silkies.

I think this one is a blue Silkie, but I noticed that this one has some yellow skin, beak and feet.

Another white Silkie.

All of them together.

Why does my Silkie have the biggest tail?

Aren't they CUTE!
Thanks everyone for listening to my ramblings!

Well I brought the left over eggs that the hens were letting go cold and kicking around and surprise very late I hear one peeping! I don't see a hole yet but it could be turned where I can't see it. I don't think I can put it in with the hens and chick now it's too late they might not except it. I have a young Pullet that has been broody for about four days now I was thinking of sticking it under her. What do you guys think? Should I put it under her now and let it hatch under her or try putting it under after it's up and running. I think it would be better off with a mom, I have my doubts that it will get any siblings. I am concerned it might have curled toes from temp flux. What to do?

I want some silkies bad... I'm just so very very broke. Lol. Maybe when I sell some chickens this winter I can buy a pair to start my own fluff collection
