So is it okay with Silkies to have hard feathers on feet? @Fancychooklady
Questions..
I have a hen sitting on some eggs. Well I figured they weren't fertile since I didn't think my rooster was fertile. I have 2 other roos too in same pen who were born on mothers day.
Well I cracked one and saw a embryo developing. All you see is veins and a heartbeat. I was shockes. Candle some more to see and a few had the same thing.
Is it possible that he is fertile after all or are the other roos the father.
It's odd but she went sitting on the eggs just Sunday morning... I saw the veins and heartbeat yesterday ....is that what's suppose to be happening or do the eggs seem older in development?
My idiot hen who has 2 chicks who are just getting their feathers lays on any eggs she sees at night but not
During the day finally the hen who laid them sent sitting. .. looks like I'll have chicks of all ages as the hen who went sitting has 2 chicks who are born 6/11. Lol
Male or female?
Born 6/11 making them 3mo.1wk (13wks)
