just sharing some new chicks from my last hatch.

That showgirl (NN) is just too much. How sweet.

My broody hen and the my other silkies in her coop just ate one of the eggs she was sitting on. She still has one egg under her, but she pecked at it when I put it back under her. This is her first time incubating eggs. Is there a reason she ate it and should I be worried about the other egg?

I have had some hens eat the bad eggs or eggs that quit developing. Maybe that's the case with yours?

My silkies are 9 weeks old now! Their crests are coming in and they are getting bolder every day





On the last one, the boy, we've had to trim his crest a few times already because I was worried that he couldn't see properly haha. He's used to it now, he closes his eyes and waits patiently for us when I catch him
