I had one who didn't start crowing until he was over a year old but his son started crowing at two months lol two months seems to be a lot younger than most silkies though

@workinnanie

Hi again!

I was able to get a few pics of some of the pullets from that same dark porcelain cock bird over the white hen this morning. 3 of them are 6-7 months old (no eggs yet) and the others are about 2-3 months old.

The larger ones (6-7) months old are the one on the left in the foreground, the one on the right in the foreground and the larger of the 2 that look kind of buff-ish.

I got an interesting color from the same dark porcelain cock over a different white hen. My silkies hatched 11 eggs over thee winter and 10 of them were cockerels. They were all so sweet and would dance for me whenever I sat in the run with them to give them treats. This was one of them. I should have kept this little cockerel to see how he turned out.

Hi Adorkable,
Love the pictures! The pullet in the 4th picture looks a lot like the one in my avatar. They all are nice looking birds! That Roo is gorgeous! Wonder how he matured?
I just received 8 sizzle/silkie eggs in the mail from Missouri & slipped them under my broody porcelain hen. She is sitting tight so far! I am keeping my fingers crossed! Due to hatch Sept 11. I have a friend that will lend me her incubator but have never hatched eggs that way so am hoping I won't need to!
