Silkie thread!

ugh help please i got chicks 36 hours ago and ive lost/losing 5. two oegb, 1 oegb, and now two black silkies. one is gasping and acting as if he has wry neck yet he was fine this morning they are now laying here gasping, one chirps but they are both lethargic and getting weaker

Check the temp in the brooder , what does their poop look like, wryneck rarely would affect so many at once, I'd be treating for cocci. Have you got any amprolium ?

Do they have a heat lamp?
Is the heat lamp to close/got for them? Are the to cold?
Set the heat lamp so they get under it or away from it as they feel comfortable.
You can put a little sugar in their water to given them a little energy also.
Hopefully others. Can help you more

they have a heat lamp, the lamp is mid way above the brooder so that there is room to move away, they dont seem cold they are wandering around eating and drinking happily not crowded or anything. i have honey in the water atm

temp is 95-96 with a trusted thermometer, one that had pastybutt (it was a polish) had running poo but everyone else has solid poops no sign of cocci, the only one that was acting like wry neck was one silkie everyone else got weak and continually got weaker before seizing within a few hours and dying, the last time this happened they got cold in shipping and some of them had kidney failure that caused it. everyone else seems fine but this scares me and no i dont use medication i normally get a clump of dirt and grass and put in the brooder and ive never had a bird get cocci when i do it that way

Pasty butt is caused by overheating and dehydration , ataxia is the symptom you are referring to as wryneck and that can simply be the final stages of life. If the chicks have cocci some will die but not necessarily all. Giving birds a sod of earth can help build immunity but if you have an outbreak will have not effect. Chicks are far more vulnerable to cocci than adult birds.
Ataxia is also a symptom of cocci, wet litter around feeders is usually the culprit.

ive not had any wet litter and actually the shavings are brand new from a water tight building. i think some had pastybutt i didnt catch when i got them here. everyone is drinking fine and i looked at the poop in the brooder and it all looks normal (solid brown with a bit of white in it like an adult bird but smaller) no odd colors, no more runny poo and no blood

Don't rely on bloody poop, there are several strains of cocci , not all result in bloody poop.
If they have come to you with cocci they will be shedding ocyst at a great rate, a little buttermilk can offer them some relief but without corid I don't like their chances. :(
