question: is that a certain type of silkie? usually they come down to the eyes and everybody says they can't see well. but I can see the silkie's eyes it looks like it can see well.

Thank you, these are not bearded. Bearded silkies have ' muffs ' that can almost meet the crest and hence obscure their vision. The little splash roo that will be mated to them is bearded and much darker blue.

Hello I wen to tractor supply to get silkies and they had them but they didn't have the right sign for them so I asked if they knew and they and my mom are telling me the breed of the chicks are called bantams and I kept saying that heh looked like silkies and everything they even had older ones that had like u know those silkies wing feathers like and so my parents wouldn't let me get them so I am pretty mad about that and I even told them there was no such breed called bantams

Yeah. Not to offend anyone but sometimes the people at tractor supply are dopes xD you are correct there isn't a specific breed named bantam they are a type of chicken like a sub category. Also the sign won't say that they are silkies due to the fact that the bar code they have for the silkies and other bantams is under bantam.

Hi everyone I would like to ask a color breeding genetics question. Of this is the wrong thread for my question please send me to the correct thread!.
It is silkie related....

I just bought some hatching eggs so if they hatch I should have porcelians, whites and splashes.and I have a blue rooster.
Say I had a mixed pen of these colors what color chicks could I exspect?

Hehe, the little dark headed one is almost chinchilla .
