Silkie thread!

Last year I ordered 4 white silki hens,about 3 to 4 months old the comb on one was getting larger. Now we know she is a he which is fine, now I can breed my own white silhis.

Oh, your poor baby!. Hawks are a never ending battle for me too here in TN. Hope she mends soon. Optomistically  if she's well enough to eat and drink she will recover.

She's eating and drinking, AND...the brooder she's in has a small attached run. She made her way outside and is currently scratching around and taking a dirt bath. Makes me feel pretty optimistic Tough little cookie, that one!

Omg poor girl! So sorry! Glad the hawk didn't make off with her. Hope she recovers quickly.

I got my silkies today!!!!
There names are twix and jade (twix is my favorite candy)
They are being raised with some other chicks, I got nervous when the other chicks started pecking the silkies face, but soon they realized that the black thing on there face was a beak, LOL (everyone is OK!) They are so tiny!!! I usually don't have the heat lamp on for the older chicks, but the silkies were shivering, so I decided I'd give them some heat, since there only a day old, the other chicks are about 5 days old. There so cute!! I have never owned a hen with FIVE legs! LOL! I'll try to get a pic in a sec, I don't really want to hold them just yet, they look so weak and I want them to get used to there new surroundings, I'll take a pic from on top of they're cage.

I'm not really sure what type they are, maybe you guys can help me.
Jade has a bit of dark grey on his back and twix has two black dots on his head,they both seem to be bearded

I really do not want a white! Cuz of the hawks and such. It was hard to pick them out cause there was so many!
