I thought the black one was a hen too. I tried to catch her one time and she went into the breeding stance. They both act like hens, but the white one definitely looks like a cockerel.Top: roo

Its comb is pretty small so I would say pullet, but I'm not an expert on telling he gender of silkies. How old is she?I too, first time owner of 3 chicks, am wondering what you pros believe my Silkie is... here's a photo. I also got two pullets (Hubbards?) from TSC at the same time but the Silkie (Eleanor) is a week older. She is the shyer of the two... and I'm hoping she is truly a SHE ! ???
