Silkie thread!

My latest. I am hoping this boy will breed. Have had problems with getting them to breed. What? I have the white boy, a white girl, and a splash pullet that is a month younger than the other two. You can tell I trim around their eyes so they can see. :) Otherwise, they are so full they can't see!

that splash is gorgeous!!

Your resolve is as impressive as mine... Oh wait, I have no resolve! I am hatching away. I have 12 due in a week and 21 the next week. Hoping for paint babies and hopefully a paint showgirl.

Magnolia silkies are beautiful but too far for me.

I think I am going to buy some eggs online when the temperature goes down some more... should probably check to see if my incubator still works tho. I haven't used it in almost and year and it is one of those crappy Styrofoam ones and I still have not mastered my hatching skills. I usually just let my silkies do their thing.

The lady I'm getting Stella's mate from in FL on Friday sent me updated pictures of our little Silkie today! Definitely not a Lavender, definitely a Splash! Isn't he or she such a beauty!

My started crowing very late, around 8-10 months, and it starts very "rusty" they never will get very loud anyway.
I have a hen who has laid and hatched out 3 different batches of babies well I had taken the rooster out so I don't get any more babies and the other morning I heard this crazy crow so I went out think how the heck did a rooster get in there well it was her crowing away crazy girl

Ok, so, I bred my blue Silkie hens and 1 buff Silkie hen with my buff Silkie roo and i got all blue chicks and 1 buff chick. They are all grown up now but I'm wondering if the blue silkies have the potential to create buff silkies.

Thanks!!!
