Silkie thread!

I need help determining sex of my 3month old sillies. First 3 pics azul. Last 2 sky. Thank you

Honestly, it's hard to tell this soon. I used to think it would be easy to tell by the wideness of the comb area on them. Nope. If you look back up at my Uggums..the black girl..she has a very wide comb. And thick! But I know she's a she.
I also went by the sweeping back of the head feathering..which, usually is a sign of a cockerel. Again, look at Uggums..and then down at the paint boy! His is straight up at 4 months.
The tail. Now, that is easier. In your first bird, the third photo of the back shot..looks like a cockerel tail to me. And, longer legs! Give it another month. May be easier by then. Someone else here may be better than I am at this age. Pretty!
I'm loving that blue earlobe!

Okay...some pics of my silkie chicks. They are 1 week and 3 days old

They have been growing since I got them and looking forward to how they all turn out. 2 buffs, 1 splash, and 1 white. I really an hoping for the splash to be a roo.

i want one!!

I also want another Breda. I have a 2nd one on order for Spring! I love 'em so much I want to order yet another one. It's hard to find nice flockmates to mix with Silkies and the Breda fits the bill plus are decent egg layers. Funny quirky pesty family-friendly Breda! The more time spent socializing them with humans the more outgoing curious they become -- even with visitors. Visitors love the fluffy Silkies and quirky looks of the Breda -- neither breed are common-looking chicken breeds.

They are beautiful. I have a lot of blues, and splash babies growing up.

I really love Partridge but would like a Blue someday. I have a little Black Silkie girl but she fades to rust feathers in the summer sun. She is a sweetie though. How do your Blues handle summer fading?

Can anyone tell me what their experience with my pet chicken is? I'm going to be ordering some chickens but I can only have like 4-5 more in my coop and that's really pushing it. Has anyone ordered like 2-3 of a couple different breeds? I want to get a silkie or two plus my mom wants Easter eggers or something like that.

I ordered 4 BO pullets, 1 cockerel and 2 silkie pullets from my pet chicken this summer. 1 silkie died about 10 days after hatch. I don't think it was their fault or anything. She seemed to have suffers from failure to thrive. She had pasty butt from day one and although we kept her clean she just never really got bigger and eventually seems impacted with poop. I think she was just messed up internally. The BOs were all great and are lovely chickens. The other silkie turned out to be a roo. He's a good boy so far though and they gave me no trouble refunding my money. I'm ordered Easter eggers and silver laced wyandottes from them this spring.

Ok i know the white one is a hen the black one (not breed standerds i guess) but a awesome awesome rooster!! can any one tell what the others are?? the splash is always with steve he keep it safe sit on it i cant tell if its because it a hen or he thinks hes dad??
