Is this the right type of comb for a silkie rooster?

Sadly no, it is not the correct show standard comb.
Silkies have a walnut comb. It resembles a walnut shell in appearance. Coloring should be a rich mulberry aka dark purply red.

Bringing up the sexing actually leads me to my own question. What age can you start to tell the gender on Silkie's or start to at least make a guess on them? My babies are 4 weeks going on 5 weeks and I am chomping at the bit to see if I have pairs or not.

My guess is that Spot is a girl, Elaine - not sure yet, Grace is a boy. The walnut comb is starting to protrude and a hint of a red waddle.

Those were my guesses too but I am new to silkies so thought I would get a few opinions. Thank you for the replies!
