Silkie thread!

I got new splash Silkie chicks yesterday from cackle. They sent 16 and all doing well. My first time with shipped chicks, actually my first time with any chicks I didn’t hatch myself. There are 4 serama chicks in the picture too. The seramas are a week older and still smaller than the Silkie

I want Seramas next I think!! They are so little!!

They are cute. So tiny and spunky my seramas rule the coop. Good little mother’s too. In February I had a Serama Hen hatch and raise a Silkie last month the Silkie broody hatched 13 serama chicks. Now I have 4/5 serama broodies but I’m done with chicks for the year. These were the 4 incubator chicks I hatched last weekend. All 4 fit in my hand. Is funny how their size and color can vary so much.

What does the comb of a silkie cockerel look like?
Edited to add: one of my silkies seems to have a single comb. The other looks more like it will be a walnut comb. Maybe?

He’s so cute! I love his color!
The single comb silkie I have looks like he’s developing wattles and the walnut looking comb silkie isn’t. They are both 9 weeks old. I’ll try to get pics today. The mama silkie was so fluffy I couldn’t see her comb when I bought these two.

Please excuse the lack of feathers my poor baby was picked in the brooder :’( thankfully they are finally growing back! But why do they have different combs?
And should I trim the black ones beak?

I had a goof ball, (he is at his forever home now), with a different comb.

No, I am not on Facebook, and do not want to join it. I've heard too many bad thing's about it.

I just joined Facebook about 2weeks ago. Only following a couple chicken groups so I don’t have to go thru loads of junk.
