I am pretty sure I took some pics of the hens and rooster and they are still on my camera card. I will try too figure out how too get them here and show you. I got a black silkie from my daughter. we cannot tell if it is a rooster or hen but all the other silkies were crowing but this one. So I brought it home and the roo that I have in my coop has been acting like he wants too kill that poor black silkie. He started in on it by pecking its head and I kept after him too stop and then after a bit the little black hen/roo started walking around and enjoying itself but when my daughter came by and looked up at the pen, he was really mean and fighting the black one like he was gonna hold it down till it died. What do you think the problem is. I believe it is a hen but if so why would he be so mean too her. He isn't breeding it now just lowing the boom on that chicken like he hates it and is trying too kill it.

It looks like she has gotten lighter the older she gets. Is this just the way the picture turned out or has she actually
lightened up? She is a BEAUTY!!
I have a few that were lighter color splash and the older they got the darker they got and I have one that is the same color as your first picture, darker splash and now I am wondering if he will get lighter. LOL!!
My nephew is vacationing in Florida right now. I could just send him over to your place to pick her up. LOL!!
I wonder what he would think about driving all the way back to Ohio with chickens in the car!!!
I just love the cuckoo silkies, gorgeous. Cant seem to find any for sale around here, and not many people want to ship live chicks. I have barred cochin bantams and just love them. Will post a couple pics of my fuzzy-top gang in a few. Nice kids Steve

No she isn't really lighter...it's just the bright sunlight on the last 2 pics. I'll take another now that she is 9 months old. She just started laying about a month ago.
