I am glad I found this thread! Can someone tell me a little about the standard for Cuckoo Silkies? I have light and dark Cuckoo silkies but I think the light ones may have defects.
I know one does--it has a straight comb, not a rose comb but it has lovely turquoise ears.
The 2nd light one has a nice comb (even it is a bit red) but it also has red earlobes. I can't see even a hint of turquoise.
The Darker Cuckoo have turquoise earlobes, and both the light and the dark came from the same sellers eggs.
I think that this is a fairly new color? Many issues need to be worked out (literally)
I didn't realize it might be an issue (the ear color) until I read a post somewhere here on BYC about earlobe color.
Are these both culls?

I just wanted to say that I bought my FIRST SILKIE today! A buff silkie rooster..... I named him Bubba!!! pictures coming soon!

Could someone tell me how to give them a bath and dry them.
Do you use any special soap and a hair dryer? Thanks I never gave them a bath before.
