Silkie thread!

It would be better if you posted side shots of your new birds. All of them mature at different rates. I've got one I knew was a male at 1 month and I have an odd color showing up in my whites that if the bird is the gray color will be male. But I've had them keep me guessing for six months.

I hear that Robin!!! I have some that are 5-6 months old that I have charted since they were born trying to guess the sex. Every month, it has changed!!!! LOL

Here were my silkies at about 1 month... the white is a pullet and the cuckoo is a cockrel!

I think the biggest give away was their differences in crests. My pullet had a much rounder crest from the get go and evan's (the cockrel

) crest was more oblong...

Hi!
Here are my two silkies!
They were bought as blue silkies, straight run.
I think the one on the left is a cockerel, the one on the right a hen?
The one of the left has some funky coloration too, not sure what color he is? I havent been able to find any pictures of a silkie that look like that, the closest thing I found was partridge?
They are sweeties, and my kids have fallen in love:love They love to snuggle in the kids laps, or anywhere it seems!
