trust me, i feel the same way, i took mine on sat and couldnt wait to get back there sun. a good friend of mine drives a school bus and he checks in on them twice a day. feeds them treats to.

Ok a while back I post pics of these strange color chicks. I had an idea as to how to creat a certain color silkie, so I set out to do just that. Here is the results:

Here is the male that I have (chick in the right corner) yellow with stripes

Teenage stage looking like a tan/beige partridge pattern

It's a CALICO! Just like I figured from my research,the breeding produced exactly what I wanted & expected!

All the males look just like this fellow. Now the females looked like partridges at hatching, this is what they look like now.

Partridge with the Lavender undertone! Blue Partridge!

Those are some beautiful silkies. I hope when I learn all this genetics, i'll be able to produce such beautiful birds. My current goal is to get lavender. That calico
