Silkie thread!

I got a question for all my silkie lover/silkies genetics guru peeps. Is there such a thing as a double fluff gene? I have seen many birds especially in white that just seem extra thick in silkie feathers and it seems like something most desirable to peeps. I like it but didn't know what y'all thought. I've got one and I put her next to my others and she looks not only bigger in size (although she weighs the same) but just more full and more precious to the eye. Do the judges eyes attract to this? Thanks

What do you think?

How old is your roo? Depending on the age of him, his crest is a tad smaller than I would like. His comb needs some work. Where did you get him from?
This is a better comb.

Is his middle toe and outside toes all fully feathered?

Hi, all of the silkies on here are lovely,
i was wondering what i would get if i bred my
white silkie roo to my black silkie mutt, would they
have normal feathers, or silkie feathers?
here is the hen:

Question:
So a smaller comb on a silkie roo is more desirable? I didn't know that. Thanks!.

So two of my roo's do not have a great comb for sure then.

I will have to try and get a close up of my other 2 roos and post later today. But I believe only one of my roo's has a good comb.

According to the Bantam Standard- Male Silkie Comb- set firm & even on the head, almost circular is shape, preferably broader than longer, with a number of small prominences over it, a slight indentation of furrow, transversely across the middle, rising at a point just forward of the nostrils & extending backwards to a point parallel with the front of eyes.

I think some have an idea of the comb being smaller than it should be. JMO
