Silkie thread!

*possibly*---but I would not try it. You will likely get mis-coloured birds that are too yellow, with inadequate, if any, penciling.

How many generations would it take?

Don't take this the wrong way, but wouldn't it be a lot easier to just buy a Partridge silkie. The time and money involved, feeding several gens of birds to maturity, would cost you inti the hundreds at least. Would be cheaper to just buy one outright, then you would have them and save a lot of guesswork in am I getting close, etc. JMO

Oh Awesome! I was going to ask how they were doing. I'm so glad you like them, they were really nice and deserved to go to a show home! They were part of a huge hatchout I had, which is down to about six birds left. Now to move over the next group in to their space!

There never seems to be enough room for everyone.
You should get some really nice chicks out of them.
PS I have found that the birds from this line, when they get to their second year molt, the crests come back in Double the size they had as yearlings. You should see their mothers! Walking softballs!

Need some help on what color to call these two youngsters. They are 10 weeks old and are very light white to gray, with darker some gray but they also have like a peach coloring mixed in with the darker gray color. I wasn't sure what color to call them. I have two like this so far and some of my younger ones look like they might be this color too. One is just a tad darker than the other. Sorry, for the picture quality but my good camera still isn't working right and Santa didn't bring me a new one like I had hoped!
