Do you by chance have a picture of them on your birds? The pictures on the ABA website are impossibly tiny for my old eyes!

How do they expand to keep from cutting off circulation in the bird's leg? How do you see them through all the feathers?

They are a particular size, larger than the leg itself, so no way to cut off circulation. But with the toes being spread out, they don't come off. I'll try to see if I have a pic, if not I'll take some this weekend & post.

I was so excited when my little girl laid her first egg... I kept it and am just trying to think of the perfect thing to do with it... I want to make something special... If anyone has any ideas of things to make with a first egg, let me know!!

Clear nail polish will keep it. Or you could tap the ends and blow out the contents to make a decoration out of it.

Please just don't do what my son did, draw a face on it, name it JJ and put it in bed with you.........it wasn't pretty.....he had kept JJ for two weeks before that night.....something was really rotten in Denmark!​

I need to order mine for this year. I'll probably get about 200. I don't put them on all the birds, pet or non breeders/show birds don't get them. But the others do, that is the only way to tell some of them apart. Really comes in handy when you have a buyer who wants to see all the splash etc that you have for sale. You can take pics & label the photos by band number, ie Splash cock # 819,819a,819b. And after 6 or seven Splash birds it's hard to tell who is in what picture.

What size do you get? I dont know what size to buy... I have babies out the wazoo and need to go ahead and band the ones I know I want to keep and grow out.. Ditch the zip ties!

I believe it is size 20. But if you go to the website, it will tell you what size for silkies. They only have one size for the cocks & hens, not like some breeds where you need to order 2. They are big enough to have plenty of room for heavy feathering.​

Well BB, if I can unload my Japanese Bantams and free up another coop, I would love to bug ya for one of your breeder quality whites.

I lost my favorite girl to a fox last spring, and it took her whole clutch (the last of them) of chicks with her.

If it's only one size for cocks and hens then it must be a 15.. I copied this from the info page..
