Hey Roo....Been very slow this year due to the weather. This last week and the -20 weather isn't helping matters at all. Nothing is hardly laying. All the eggs are froze and cracked open despite picking twice a day. In the growout pens, I have only 12 that are keepers for now and 14 over in the PQ sale pen. I usually put well over 100 in my keeper pen before I sell any of the better chicks. I'm going to be taking any of the culls along to Hutch on the 13th if I don't sell them privately before that. Still have 4 of the month old faverolles left here too and not a single other one of them has hatched either. If you want chicks anytime soon, you might want to try that lady in Forest Lake that I referred you to.
Good news here! Got my package in the mail from the Board of Animal Health today. Got little laminated business cards with the hatchery permit on and 8x10 certificates with the NPIP & Hatchery info. Last year it was almost May before any of that was sent out. As I figured, they are really cracking down on the import/export requirements over state lines this year.
