I have a bantam lavender ameraucana I was planning to cross with my lav silkie roo then cross the offspring back to the roo. My baby peepers is still too young for that project though but I thought it sounded cool

Yes. They should look like Silkies and lay green eggs. I am pretty sure that they have the furry feathering. It can't be just EE x Silkie, because then the feathers would be smooth. Blue egg gene and a dominant furry feather egg must be involved in this, somehow.

That's why I was thinking to cross the silkie x ameraucana offspring back to the silkie roo. That would produce silkied feathers wouldn't it? I think personality wise it would be a great cross don't you?

Plus the offspring I would venture to say would be less prone to being broody maybe

Thank you we build them for a living, 4 years agao it would have sold fast, but now it will be for sale for the next 5-10 years unless someone has deep pockets and does not need a huge loan. So we will be here a long time. It sits on a hll all by itself, so it is very private. thank you for the nice compliment.
