Hey everybody

I finally caught up with the posts I've missed. Thank you all for the PM's and posts it really helped me keep my spirits up

I'm still a little down in the dumps but I'll live. I still have my whites and a few of my juvies left so I'm at least grateful for that. If anyone has or sees any good SQ birds for sale (any color but white, buff or partridge) let me know pretty please?? Not that I could ever replace my dear sweet Richie

but I really need a lavender boy. The two pullets I have left that aren't white are splits. Figures right? lol

It will be a few years before my lavs are up to par but I will send you all the eggs I can.

I will have cuckoo eggs soon I know your not working on that color but I think you will love them once they hatch and grow out. Just let me know.​

I'm not sure on cuckoos but that sure is tempting! I have been thinking perhaps this would be a good chance to work with some different colors I hadn't planned on. I guess I'll just see how it goes, sorta play it by ear.

My biggest issue right now is the weather here is back up to upper 80's and low 90's. The post office I pick my birds up at is literally 10 mins from the airport, matter of fact there is also a post office directly on the airfield. I'm trying to figure out if there is some way to get any birds shipped to me held there for pick up. Hmmmm darn TX weather! I wish I still lived in KY!!

Hi everyone... I have a question about silkies... I have 2 bearded whites and 2 partridge... not sure if they are boys are girls yet.

They are 13 weeks old now.

The 2 white ones seems to have some hard feathers in their crests. Is this normal? A quality defect? Pin feathers still growing out? It seems like if you broke the shaft off they would have regular silkie feathers but I don't want to pull on them. Is it a gender indicator?

Sorry - these are my first silkies so I am not sure.
