None of mine show leakage, but all I have kept to adulthood for black splits are hens/pullets. I actually have found my black splits to be the richest most beetle green blacks I have! Go figure! I think it really depends on the lines. I have seen other peoples splits with silver leakage, but not gold. They were all in boys though.

Of my black splits the girls show no leakage and the roo though beautiful does have some gold leakage in the hackles.

I just made a post about my silkie having some eye problems for the past couple of days... I was wondering if any of you guys would be so kind as to give it a look and maybe give me your opinions. Thanks in advance

I know this is kinda strange, but do both genders of silkies have blue ears? I have 1 with blue ears and 1 without. I can not find a picture of a hen with blue ears, which is why I was wondering. My silkies are hatchery quality and they are about 2 weeks different in age. I noticed the older one had blue ears a while ago. So I waited to see if the other one would get them, and it has not. Here is the link to the most recent thread. I would love if you all could help determine gender.
