Silkie thread!

Hi Colie, Thanks for the opinion, I am hoping its a girl. She/he is so pretty! They were born in April, I think about 8 the lady I got them from said. I am going to get my good camera out and get better pics. Just need to get the kids to leave me alone long enough so I can do it!

Thank you

Thanks Colie! The reason why I want to know if it looks like good quality is because I am ordering some white Silkies from a breeder and I wondered if I should order a couple more partridges to go with this guy/gal to possibly breed later on. She says she has 5 partridge that are perfect at the moment... but no sense in getting more to go with this one if it's not worth a hill of beans for breading! (still super sweet no matter what tho!)
Thanks again! Linda

I would urge you to keep two if you can. Chickens are flock animals and very social, they do much better with companionship of their own kind than being alone.

Oh, I am going to have 8-9 Chickens...only one at this point will be a silkie. ;-)

Someone on here said "silkies are like potato chips... one is never enough

And by Crazy foot feathering, do you mean in a good way? Or is it too excessive?
