Thank You, I could ask you color of all of them if I put pictures up. But they hate to sit still,Maybe they are camera shy.

I have a rapid fire option on my camera that helps me a lot. If I can get a quick burst I can usually get a usable picture from doing that. When mine get a little older I bribe them

How in the world do you keep them so still? Mine loves to wonder.

It's easy to take pictures of them when they are newly hatched. They just stay in one spot. After about a week they start to scurry and when they are 2 or 3 weeks old it's really hard. Then after they get a few months old they get more calm and it gets easy again.

None of my chickens would sit still for anything even food. I gave mine some sunflower seeds and I thought I was gonna be attacked by them. When they run they don't like to stop in time. They get them wings going and it's all over

When mine are older I like to pull them one or two at a time to take pictures. I take them off away from what's familiar to them and it seems to help. That approach doesn't work with my older boys though they aren't cool with being separated from their girls unless I have some really good treats or if it's dusk.

No, I don't think so, cuz I did that, and I still have questions! Like this one

What is happening to my Minnie Cukes head? You used to not be able to see her eyes at all! Nor her ears. But its like someone came along and gave her a mowhawk. The same thing is happening to Blackbutt and Big Head. Little Head, she's not really, but her comb is combing in, and Black, he really isn't either, but his hackles are changing color like this

When he used to look like this

I'd think they were two different boys if I hadn't been watching it happen for the last few days! Sorry bout the fuzzy pic.

HaHa! Thanks again Colie! My first silkie eggs are in the bator right now pipping and I can feel the questions guggling up by the hundreds. I'm sure my questions alone will keep this thread alive till I'm in the grave and the stress I'm under with these eggs may put me there before morning!
