oh, sorry i havent PM' ed you or emailed, so many things have been happening.
i haven't been on BYC as much either.

For years I have bought 3 sexed chicks at a time....He usually sexes them for me. His story was they were too young to positively sex and they were the only ones he had for sale. No pullets available. It is so hot here in the summer (throw in the occasional hurricane or tropical storm) the chicken breeders rarely have chicks for sale.

I did notice some of the chicks have featherless breast bones and the ones I suspect are roos have completely feathered chests. Could this be a tell?

Hmm, I don't know you will have to ask one of the more pro silkie people.
I have silkies younger then the ones you have and i can tell that they are all boys.

Thank you Christie! I did return two a couple of weeks ago because the roo wars had begun already. Yes....Andrew takes the roosters back.
