No Problem! I pride myself on being an honest & fair person. I know some breeders like to hind or keep secrets, especially on the origins of their stock. But their are no secrets here, I did some homework on the genetic backgound on the birds at hand. ie how they were developed buy what colors were in their background. Lots of time in Sigrids genetics book, looking at pictures & reading. And had an idea of what could be possible, and went for it!​

You have done your homework and then some! I have learned alot from you by just reading all of your answers. I only wish I understood the genetics at half of what you know!

Everyone has access to the 20% layer pellets at all times and I have also Game Bird Scratch and Grower that I will put out for them. I will have to check to the label on the grower. I am not sure what % it is. It is what we have for my hubby's Ideal leghorns. The young girls.

My Silkies (hatched Aug 1) are still kind of skittish when I try to pick them up, unless I hold their wings down and close to my body or I am laying on the couch with them on my chest... is this typical? They all know that I am the treat giver. I would love to bathe them (mostly their feet and top knot get dirty), but afraid they will freak out. Is it better to try to bathe them at night?

not a on topic question but what can u do to chickens to have the like not run away when u get close and let u pick them up and they dont struggle so they will be more like a pet

feed them out ur hand​

Keep picking them up, so that they get used to it!​

with my birds i go through them once week jut check them out see who going be ready for show need nail trimmed vent plucked check for bugs jut case i brought some home from last show​
