awww this is so cute!!! I can't wait until my Silkie hen goes broody, I just set 21 silkie eggs in incubator last night. My silkie hens are almost 7 months old, 1 just started laying, how long until they usually will go broody?

My silkies are 8 months, so I would say as long as they are warm and still laying it should be soon. I kept her in the house I the guest room.

That is one od the strangest silkie chicks I've ever seen!

got her from a friend that can't remember the breeder- she bought RIR eggs and they added a silkie egg, she doesn't raise silkies, so she gave her to me- she is alot softer than my others

Wow! Everyones silkies are gorgeous! I'm new to the Silkie world and I love them! I'm glad to have found people who are equally in love with their birds!
Currently trying to sex my 5 babies (5-6 months) and it's so hard! I flip flop every day! Iveorry I may have 4 cockerels and one pullet, and we already have two Roos! Ahh!

I would LOVE some snuggly hens!
