Silkie thread!

We LOVE her! I decided in the end though that I'm going to hold off on breeding the buffs because I kind of have my hands full right now (with going back to school) but we kept Gracie and one other little buff girl we have that is slow growing and slow to get around, so we kept her just to spoil her and make sure she is well taken care of.

Lexi (my daughter) LOVES Gracie. She showed her last week for the first time and she did well! She is showing her again in a couple weeks. She uses her for showmanship also because she is a sweetheart.

Gracie is so adorable!! Lovely color too.

Get the scissors out and trim the feathers so she can see the other option is to pluck them out but they will grow back quicker that way.

X2. The only reason you would not want to do this is if you were planning on showing her. Otherwise, it is fine.

Help! I've been looking for BQ to SQ pullets/hens and a roo. I've left a few pm's but not having any luck? I"m concentrating on b/b/s. Feel free to pm me if you've got anything.
Thanks!

Just picked up this guy tonight. His name is Garth!

The woman said he was 6 months old, but he was much smaller than her other silkie roos (who she said were the same age), and his comb/waddles are smaller and seem less developed. I was drawn to him over the beautiful fully developed roos, for better or worse. Does he look 6 months old?
