That's great! And it looks like you are using one of those styrofoam incubators too! I can't hatch ANYTHING with those...really, it was terrible. Hahaha. I admire those who can! I had to get one of the Brinsea incubators that basically does the hatching for me.

Thanks for posting all the pics from your hatching!! It looks like you are having quite a successful one so far!
Everytime you post a new pic, I am showing my oldest son what he has to look forward to once we get our breeder set up & seperate our layers from our silkies. I am looking forward to seeing your next few once they hatch!!
I hatched hundreds of chicks out of my old styro. The trick is to have quality instruments to monitor temps and humidity and to leave it alone once its set. If it doesn't hold look to the ambient temps around it, is is colder at night? Hotter during the day? If it still is not stable then the wafer needs replacement.
I didn't like the Brinsea so I sold it and bought a turn-x. Doesn't have the space of my old styro but that's fine, my hens do enough hatching for me.
it is doing good for me so far and i hand turn mine i do not have a turner. the first time i hatched i had 24 eggs and all 24 hatched the second time i had 22 and 19 hatched the third time i hatched i had 32 eggs i had 29 hatch and not i have 29 eggs all silkies like the third time and i have 7 to hatch so far and 8 more with pips and one due to hatch any min
