Silkie thread!

Her birds also seem to mature faster than the others I hatched. Several hens have been laying for at least a month now even though it's cold and dark here in Minnesnowta.

It's a huge waste of people's time and I wish that they would make it more difficult to acquire ID's and bid. One in particular apparently liked to bid up a few that I had bid on then not follow through. If you bid and back out then there should be consequences, just my two cents.

I belong to a fabric co-op (so we can buy thousands of yards at a time to keep costs low). If ONE person backs out- then the price is raised for the rest of us. So we have a "Strike" rule to prevent this. You get one 'give me' strike (for running into money problems/or unexpected family troubles) and then the second one you are on probation with the group (no buying for a period of time). After that, once their full membership is reinstated again, if they do it again, then they are completely kicked off the group and NEVER let back on again. It works and it's enough to scare people into being very serious about what they are buying and paying on time. There should probably be some kind of system like that here. Maybe not exactly like this one, but something along those lines.

The seller being able to block them from bidding on any of their future auctions would help- Banning them from bidding on ANY auction after driving one up and not paying, would work even better.

Unfortunately, it's not just buyers. I recently purchased eggs on byc, and paypaled money right at auction close. Haven't heard a thing from the seller, and it's been almost a week! What really sucks, is that I purchased the eggs to put under a broody, now it's probably to late to slide some eggs under her:(

That's terrible!! Did the seller have a good rating?
