This next picture is off tint b/c I had her in the sunlight from my office tinted windows. She's definitely not this color shown but, the pic was so cute I couldn't resist showing it.

Love her!

I usually ship them in a regular priority mail box from the post office. And wrap the eggs in bubble wrap and put some bubble wrap in the box so nothing gets broken , cheaper that way to I would imagine. Cause those Horizon boxes aren't cheap either. But if everyone starts to use Horizon boxes and charge for the box and shipping I know I wont be ordering anymore eggs from anyone anymore. But I guess if you can afford to get them cause I know that they are great boxes then do it why not.

That big egg auction that I did this spring was shipped that way. She ended up getting 12 dozen silkie & faverolle eggs, 16 peafowl eggs, and 6 african goose eggs. They went in 2 separate shipments about a week and a half apart. A few dozen out of the first batch were even forwarded on to a friend of hers. She reported back 68-71% fertility. That was right about the same as I was getting here. It cost right about $160 to ship both boxfulls. Eggs and tons of packing material are not light and thus the express mail goes through the roof. I just sent her another 4 dozen eggs about a month ago and nowhere close to the same results. If you are willing to fork out the money, they are definitely taken better care of in terms of fast service, getting jostled around, climate controlled etc. If you want to see the results, go check out Anh's pics (Dylan's Silkies). She got some beautiful babies out of it!

Do you have a link to Anh's pictures of her results from the hatch? I bought 3 silkies from her a while back. They are gorgeous.

Curious if these are out of those hatch-- which might mean these are your babies???

This is loyd and harry when the were chicks. Harry is the one in the back. Loyd turned out to be a rooster, so he lives at my friends farm. Harry's sitting on my lap right now:)
