Correct, and silkies have walnut combs, not single combs.

Silkie Experts I need opinions!

I have a mixed color group and im not sure who to pair with who. I also need opinions on show quality, I dont expect much just wondering if they could still do ok at shows, im not looking for first place or anything lol. Also the ones im posting are all together now and have been laying, 2 of the girls are broody and im wondering if i should let them hatch or wait till they are split into pairs, so your opinions will be helpfull there as well.
Please tell me if the colors are correct as well.

#1- grey?


#2-Blue, wanted to pair with grey


#3-Ginger Red?


#4-Partridge with to much buff, was going to pair with ginger red


#5-Showgirl roo, no idea on color


#6-Splash, lost her spots, was going in with showgirl, one of these 2 not sure which, best pic I have.


Let me know what you think! I can get better pics if needed just let me know which sides and all that to take pics of.

LOL Lisa, I am not an expert so I will let someone else answer the pairing question. I just had to laugh at your showgirl picture. I just got my first two showgirls myself. Aren't they the funniest looking birds. I didnt think I liked them until I got mine and now I love them. I am curious to see what everyone things about your pairing questions. I have the same issue myself. In roosters I have White, Blue, and Splash. In hens I have Black, Blue, White, and Buff. I am not sure where to put my buff showgirl hen.

Well everyone here is probably an expert compared to me lol. I know serama way better then silkies. I love my showgirl and so does my sister but my mom doesnt like him at all, says hes ugly lol. I think hes very handsome!
