Silkie thread!

I have nice white rooster. Hatched 12/6/2011. Interested?

Just wondering my pure silkie roos in my breeding program all have black combs and wattles , but he has red like some cross silkies I have. does this mean that they are not pure silkies if they have the red? Ive only used the ones with black in my breeding program. Just wondering because ive passed up alot of nice birds like this one because of this.

My silkie roo is way older then that and I havent seen him try to mount the girls.... Are they sneeky about it? I really want babies!

My current rooster is, he does however keep the job done usually in early morning or before roosting time.

Not necessarily, its just a fault in exhibition.

well if I do introduce the red combs and wattles into the program , that will pass to the babies and if anyone decides to show the bird they would be marked down by the judges? Is that right? I dont show mine but im thinking future sales would just be pet quality right? Sorry still learning. Anybody?

We lost a little paint chick overnight. I kinda knew it was coming. I think the trip from TX to PA was just too much for her. I really hate this part of having chickens....

Thank you! I don't know why I couldn't find it in the search..?

In iajakesilkies's post, there was an extra "s" on their username - Iajakessilkies. That throw me off the first time I searched it. lol
