I actually have no problems with my LF brahma girls picking on my silkies. They are at the top of the order but out of my group of chickens they are the nicest to other chickens. I have added 4 month old silkies to the group before and I have a bunch of 2 month old silkies with my ladies. And my ameraucana's are the only ones who pick on them.

Well, that is encouraging! Thanks for the info! i was just a little worried about the size difference, although I've read that in regards to breeds getting along, it has more to do with temperament rather than size. Thanks again, your help is appreciated!

My ramp coop opening is 2 feet off the ground. The ramp is 8 feet long. Yes, really. AND My silkies go up it. The silkie chicks go up it, and I have chicks are a week old and 3 weeks old that climb the ramp. I figured, the longer the ramp the easier for ALL the different breeds I have. It is also 8 inches wide. You could also try a light on a timer... Will he go to the coop and wait? Or not at all?

Sure why not Tina, when you arrange me B&B I stand for the rest. Even the opposite is possible when you come over here I arrange free stay and food (for 2 persons max).

Thanks for the very kind offer. If there are enough folks interested, I bet
we could arrange for you to come over at some point. I'm trying to learn
as much as I can, and I know there is so much more to learn.
Best wishes,Tina
