You can't really say with a White bred to anything other than a White. The white color hides other colors that may be in the background. Got any pics of the chicks? Maybe we can help guess their sexes. A good profile pic, and a frontal pic showing the comb and crest would be helpful.I tried my best to make sure I got two pullets. Oh no! Thanks for letting me know. It came from Murray McMurray hatchery so I guess other buyers beware. I will be giving them a call today! It's a silkie cross, not pure silkie. It could end up really cute, but it won;t have silkie feathers.
Inexperienced me - I'm voting boy on every single one of those darlings - based on those combs.Or maybe Silkies in Australia have bigger combs???
(Maybe number 4 is female. Maybe ???? )![]()
Wow, they are beautiful! What kind of crosses are these, SilverSilkie?
idk. I have 8 pure silkie chicks that look similar. Their wing feathers look similar to that pic. I know for sure they are pure silkies.Oh no! Thanks for letting me know. It came from Murray McMurray hatchery so I guess other buyers beware. I will be giving them a call today!
Interesting. I had just never seen one like that before. I have seen hard feathers in the tail before but not full wings. I have 8 10wk olds and 16 2wk olds and only this one was hard feathered. McMurray customer service apologized for the issue, credited me for the chick (since they can't replace it by shipping just one) and asked me if I would send them pics so they can look into it. All the other chicks I have received from them have been great and the customer service is good too. I will still reorder in the future.idk. I have 8 pure silkie chicks that look similar. Glad you got it worked out. Maybe an employee was playing a prank on the company.Interesting. I had just never seen one like that before. Those are pretty chicks! I believe that first one is blue not black. It looks the most girlie to me. I'm 50/50 on the white one. Debbie will have a better guess!
