Here are a couple of pictures of

my little bantam Silkie "Robin". She/he has become one of my favorite chicks! I can't seem to stop carrying her around like a little lap dog. I just love this sweetie!

Here is my Silkie, Cotton Candy. She is about 15 weeks old. She does not have very long top "hair". Will she grow more or is she just not a good specimen. She is just a pet....so I really don't care, but just wondered because I see all this long feathers on other pictures.

I noticed your silkie has slate colored feet. Is it a cross? I love the buff color.

That's not a recognized color or a color that is in the project stage for silkies. BUT--- I do love black birds with white crests!! LOVE them! I have a whole bunch of them! They are White Crested Black Polish!

There sure are. I have some cooking now!!

. I really like Robin's color as well. I actually thought I had purchased a white Silkie until her/his feathers developed. I am not sure if Robin is a cross. I bought Robin at a feed store by my house. The chicks were labled as bantam Silkies. This is my first time raising one. I am absolutely in love!!

I am no silkie expert, but I believe that there is no mention of the length of the crest in the SOP other than medium soft and full but breeders and judges prefer the bigger fuller crests.

Thanks Everyone, this is a picture from a lady that's selling me some silkies this weekend. I told her I wanted the paint and she said the paints are not for sale so I guess I won't be getting that one. But thanks for the replys.

this is my silkie. it is around 9 weeks old. if anyone wants to guess if it is a boy or girl that would be great. if you need more pictures there are some on the last page or so of the silkie sexing thread. or if you ask i can try to post more on this thread.
